When a transaction occurs on a kiosk, it must be associated with one of three sales method types in Altru: Advance Sales, Daily Sales, or Online Sales. We do not recommend using Online Sales (especially if you have Online Sales fees). We recommend choosing either Advance Sales or Daily Sales. 

You can edit the sales method associated with your kiosk transactions in XTruLink from System > XTruLink Settings > Kiosk Settings.

Before making your selection, please review your Ticket Scanning Options in Altru. These can be found in Altru from Tickets > Configuration > Ticket scanning options.

There are two settings for tickets sold through Daily sales page on the day of the event:

  1. Mark tickets as scanned once the ticket is sold
  2. Mark tickets as scanned once the ticket is scanned

How does this setting in Altru impact my XTruLink Kiosk Sales Method?

When you have selected "Once the ticket is sold" 

  • If you select "Daily Sales" as your kiosk sales method in XTruLink, then all tickets sold via kiosk on the day of the event will be automatically marked as scanned. Tickets sold for future events will not be marked as scanned.
  • If you select "Advance Sales" as your kiosk sales method in XTruLink, then all tickets sold via kiosk will need to be scanned prior to entrance.

When you have selected "Once the ticket is scanned"

All tickets sold via kiosk will need to be scanned prior to entrance. You may select either sales method. You might make this selection based on your reporting preferences (i.e. the reports you typically run in Altru).
